Data Safe Series SE

The Data Safe Series SE combines a 120-minute data fire rating with EN 1143-1 Grade II burglary protection — two hours of fire protection for tapes, disks and drives, in a cabinet insurers accept for cover up to €50,000 commercially and €100,000 privately. Five sizes run from 71 to 590 litres, quoted in LTO tape capacity as well as volume.

Fire and burglary protection in one safe

A data rating is stricter than a paper rating: magnetic and optical media are damaged at far lower temperatures than paper, and by humidity as well as heat, so a data safe must hold both down for the full two hours. The Series SE adds a certified Grade II burglary rating to that data rating, for backups that must be protected against theft as well as fire.

Choosing your Data Safe Series SE

Sizes run from 732 to 1,850 mm high and 786 to 1,195 mm wide on a constant 833 mm body depth; the door fittings add 85 mm, so allow 918 mm in front-to-back depth. Check the delivery route and the floor loading as well as the space — the largest size weighs 1,150 kg — and allow for the door swing in front. Choose a key lock, a 9-user electronic code lock, or a 90-user digital lock with emergency key override, in Light Grey RAL 7035. The Series SE is anchored to the floor at two points, with the fixing material included.
